SEE MONSTER is the world’s first and only repurposed North Sea offshore platform.
It will become the largest outdoor art installation ever seen in the area, featuring free large-scale events, installations and digital experiences.
These will include planted gardens and a waterfall; a dedicated outreach team focussing on science, technology, engineering, arts and maths; and theatrical and spectacular moments.
The unpredictability of the British weather will be a strong theme, focusing on climate change and renewable technologies.
SEE MONSTER, coming to Weston-super-Mare, is one of 10 major projects commissioned by Unboxed, a festival of creativity taking place across the UK this year.
If you’d like to be part of the process and put your ideas forward for events and the legacy after SEE MONSTER leaves town, you can join a dedicated SEE MONSTER Think Tank Facebook group.
A newsletter has also just launched which will feature details of the monster's journey so far and allow early sign up for tickets.
Entry will be free but tickets will be needed.

The Independent newspaper recently highlighted SEE MONSTER as one of this year’s must-sees.
